A Storm Called Matthew

Oct. 13 – Hurricane Matthew punched some powerful winds and the rains never seemed to stop. But we didn’t sustain any major damage – just yard debris from our trees and our neighbors’.  I’m from West Palm Beach and hurricanes are part of being a Floridian, but God’s grace is more than sufficient and magnanimous! Don’t want to forget to pray for Haiti and the Carolinas.

Voice-Over Training

Oct. 3 – Hi! It’s been awhile, but I’ve been busy recording our books and writing about planet Metus. Recording and voice-overs were totally foreign to me until Dan set up the equipment and got me started. He also arranged for a training session with Eric of Phantom City Studios. There are always some tricks and techniques you wouldn’t figure out on your own, so I paid close attention and got some hands-on training. Eric did a good job! Mark is helping with the media inserts for these blogs. Hey! It’s definitely a team effort! My thanks to Dan & Mark for keeping our boat afloat.

First Political Rally

Quite educational! I got to listen to Hugh Hewett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Jon Voight, Christ Hart, and Sheriff David Clarke, Jr.  All were impressive speakers, but to hear Sheriff Clarke’s heart speaking to each of us was a memorable experience. I appreciate my friend, John Raya, who got me to attend. This was “mind-blowing!” All of us “deplorables” were inspired by the bare facts… spoken in truth.

The Sci-Fi Challenge

September 6 – The latest short Sci-Fi, Monster Kits, incorporates really unique ideas involving robot monsters. Can’t wait for it to be available to you. It was fun but tough to write, challenging every brain cell at every minute. Now, sequels have been suggested by my editor, manager, partner, photographer/graphic artist… none other than Daniel J. Hoffmann – if only I could get a vacation, maybe on planet Metus where the other Sci-Fi is located.

Copyright Express!

September 2 – Completed the copyright registration online. Amazing! I paid $25 extra to have it express registered by the end of today. I need a break – need to go somewhere and have some fun just being around others. Writing is a solitary job. Ironic though, I’ll be driving in wind gusts and rain deluges since Tropical Storm Hermine is still in the vicinity, like a barking dog that won’t go away. Hope Dan & Emille are enjoying Italy – prayers still needed for families of those lost in earthquakes.

Science Fiction in 2 Weeks

August – The last 2 weeks of this month have been devoted to writing, revising, and rewriting my latest venture, the Sci-Fi novella, Monster Kits, for a contest Mystery Writers of America is sponsoring and which is headed by the national best-selling author, RL Stine. Must have rewritten the first 3 chapters 5 times and finally, we all settled on an exciting storyline. Dan and Mark have been instrumental in the many revisions and technical information needed. It’s hard to please three different people and write a story that meets with everyone’s approval.
